FROM CHASING SPIES TO LEADING CHANGE
Osborn brings inspiration to TEDxManteca
Gina L. Osborn
Former FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Gina L. Osborn is coming to town speak during the TEDxManteca event at Great Wolf Lodge on Sunday.

Manteca is set to host a remarkable speaker as Gina L. Osborn, a retired FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge, takes the stage for TEDxManteca on Sunday.

Known for her dynamic storytelling and transformative leadership lessons, Osborn will share her decades of experience navigating high-stakes situations, from counterintelligence and counterterrorism to cybersecurity and crisis management.

TED Talks, a global phenomenon, are conferences where speakers from various fields present “ideas worth spreading” through engaging, thought-provoking presentations. These talks are designed to inspire, educate, and challenge the way we think. TEDx events, like TEDxManteca, are independently organized gatherings that bring this transformative experience to local communities.

Osborn's career is nothing short of extraordinary. With over 30 years of experience, she has tackled espionage, thwarted terrorist attacks, and led groundbreaking cyber investigations, including the infamous Sony Pictures hack orchestrated by North Korea. Her journey began in a small town and was inspired by a spy novel that planted the dream of chasing spies in Europe. That dream became reality during her six years in the Army, where she was part of a specialized unit in Germany investigating high-profile espionage cases.

After graduating from the FBI Academy in 1996, Osborn took on a variety of roles, from working on Asian organized crime cases in Little Saigon to supervising terrorism investigations in Asia, India, and Australia post-9/11. She later helmed the FBI’s largest Cyber and Computer Forensics Program. In recent years, Osborn turned her expertise toward creating safer environments as Chief of Safety and Security for LA Metro, reducing violent crime by 32% within the transit system.

Now a keynote speaker and host of the Making Maverick Moves Podcast, Osborn empowers audiences to embrace resilience, fearless decision-making, and bold leadership. Her message is clear: success often requires smart, calculated risks—the very “Maverick Moves” that have defined her career.
