Netflix's new dating show has been compared to Game of Thrones as its famous host has lift the lid on the 'intense drama' viewers can expect.

Cheat: Unfinished Business is available on the streamer from today (April 30) with all nine episodes landing at once. It is hosted by Amanda Holden who has already spoken out about the new show and what fans can expect.

She will be joined in presenting duties by relationship expert Paul C Brunson who viewers may recognise from Married At First Sight UK and Celebs Go Dating.

According to the synopsis provided by Netflix, the show will follows eight ex-couples whose relationships have been torn apart due to cheating. As they reunite at a luxury retreat in sunny Spain, each pair will be guided through their issues.

It is all in the hope that they can face up to their past mistakes, rebuild trust and move forward. Whether that is together or on their own is up to them. Will the cheaters be able to fight for forgiveness and win back the hearts of those they betrayed? Or will they have to say goodbye to their relationship for good?

Amanda has shared her thoughts on the show, with an insider knowledge of what viewers can expect and her experience filming. She says her role was as a friend to the couples, admitting she was there for a sympathetic eye, saying just because they cheated, they are not a bad person.

The Britain's Got Talent judge said: "I would describe myself as a favourite aunt that comes in, keeps the action flowing, moves the show on and offers a shoulder to cry on when it’s needed."

She continued to highlight her second role, when it came to what is referred to as the Reckoning Room. She explains: "And (I also), you know, wear fabulous dresses in the Reckoning Room, which is this very intense room where the couples all have to sit face to face and thrash out their feelings, warts and all, nothing is off the table in that room."

When asked if filming in the Reckoning Room was dramatic, Amanda admitted: "Oh my God. I’ll never forget when I first walked in there, that table is endless and the flames down it are so intense. It was hot, it was dark, and there is no escape route except the door behind me.

"So they have no choice but to face their fears, look their ex in the eye and get the truth out. So it was brilliant. It was hugely dramatic. I felt like I was in an episode of Game of Thrones, it was that dramatic. The emotions in there are insanely raw because there’s no hiding. Expect lots of pain, anger, tears, all the real emotions. It’s intense."

Amanda is also quick to point out that unlike some reality shows, the drama is very much not scripted. She added: "(The drama) is not manufactured. The drama comes from the bravery of these couples to put real feelings and emotions on the line."

She continued: "For many of them this is the first time they’ve really addressed the betrayal, and of course that’s dramatic and raw when it happens, it’s edge of your seat stuff. But it’s totally natural, nothing’s been created to make drama happen, we didn’t need to. There was so much unfolding naturally that we weren’t expecting, even potential new romances, but we were able to let the story naturally take its course whilst we watched. You are watching these people in real time and you can’t quite believe what’s happening."
